Using LED lights to improve sleep quality

Light will affect sleep, first of all start with melatonin. The pineal gland in the human brain secretes a hormone called melatonin, and this hormone will guide us to sleep and improve sleep quality. Therefore, melatonin is an important factor affecting our sleep.

How does light affect melatonin secretion?

There is a class of cells in our retina with little stock, called non-imaging visual cells (ipRGC). As the name implies, these cells are not for us to see things, but can perceive light. When these cells feel the light, it will send a signal to our circadian pacemaker-suprachiasmatic nucleus (SCN), and then the suprachiasmatic nucleus informs the pineal gland to secrete the corresponding hormone, which plays a role in regulating our biological clock. When the light is strong, melatonin is secreted less. When the light is weakened, the amount of melatonin increases.

Breakthroughs have been made in science and technology. LED lights have been launched specifically to improve sleep quality, support the secretion of natural melatonin, provide bright white light that meets consumer expectations, and benefit health. You can fundamentally improve your lifestyle by providing physical, emotional, and environmental support to maximize work efficiency and allow your body to function more naturally. We know that traditional bulbs and other LED bulbs emit blue light that suppresses melatonin, so when you are going to bed, your body does not want to sleep. This bulb is a sleep solution that supports the body’s natural processes and does not produce side effects such as drowsiness or dependence like some supplements or prescription drugs.
